WELSH League leaders Haverfordw­est County secured a 2-1 victory over Ton Pentre at New Bridge Meadow yesterday, all the goals coming in the first half,a result which sees them top the table by two points from Gwent outfit Goytre.

Although Liam Jacka put Ton ahead with an early goal, strikes from Greg Walters and Dan Williams gave County maximum points.

Despite a Luke Bowen hat-trick, Port Talbot Town went down 5-3 at home to local rivals Briton Ferry Llansawel. Bowen’s scoring exploits were eclipsed as Stephen Davies (2), Rory Healey, Scott Kenyon and Gareth Jones netted for Ferry.

Afan Lido thumped Cambrian & Clydach 4-1, Elliott Thomas netting twice with Mark Jones and Kieron Cullen also on target. Richard scored from the penalty spot for the visitors who had Kyle Jones sent off for a reckless tackle.

A brace of goals from Jordan Follows gave Llanelli Town a 2-1 victory at Undy Athletic, Gareth Cullimore on target for the hosts.

Strikes from Marcus Griffiths and Cullen Kinsella gave Penybont a 2-1 triumph at Goytre United who replied through Curtis Hudson.

In division two, STM Sports crushed West End 4-0, Curtis Scotto netting a brace with Chris Worsley and Lamin Conteh also on target.

A Danny Hooper strike in the second half gave Pontypridd Town a 1-0 victory over Dinas Powys while goals from Shaun Swan, Ben Smith and Gavin Winners gave Caldicot Town a 3-1 win at Llantwit Major.
