PONTYPOOL remain 14 points clear at the top of the National Championsh­ip after a 24-3 victory at Glynneath to make it 12 wins from 12,

Jordan Williams, Dan Robinson, Aaron Quick and Martin Luckwell all crossed over to hand Pooler their 10th bonus-point victory of the season.

Kieran Meek added two conversion­s while Jack O’Reilly struck Glynneath’s consolatio­n.

Narberth made it back-to-back wins with a thumping 54-14 triumph over Beddau as they continue to chase Pooler.

Tom Powell led the attack with a brace while Kieran Jones, Liam Hutchings, Nick Gale, Richard Rees, Rhys Lane and a penalty try were also on the scoresheet.

Ianto Griffiths and Jonathan Rogers went on to add six conversion­s.

Joe Casella and Alex Meeson were the Beddau try scorers while Hywel Chatham kicked the rest.

Tata Steel bounced back from their shock defeat to Newcastle Emlyn last weekend to beat Rhydyfelin 19-5.

Lloyd Bradley, Dai Griggs and Jacob Lewis all touched down but Tata couldn’t find a fourth try to claim a bonus point.

But Jakob Williams sealed the victory with two conversion­s while Gavin Close struck a consolatio­n try for Rhydyfelin.

Elsewhere, Newcastle Emlyn and Cardiff Met couldn’t be separated, as they both had to settle for a 22-22 draw.

Met’s George Simpson stole the headlines with a masterclas­s in kicking. He booted an impressive five penalties and also converted Shawn Howard’s try.

But a double from Llyr Jones and another try from Alex Williams helped Emlyn into the game with Ashley Sutton levelling the score with his boot.

In other action, Trebanos enjoyed a 17-5 win over Skewen.

Steff Lewis and Sam Davies bagged the Trebanos tries with Matt Edwards hitting seven points. Mark Harvey replied for Skewen.

And a penalty try helped Newbridge to a 10-6 success over Bedlinog.

Eamon Rees hit a penalty to give Newbridge the victory despite two Bedlinog penalty goals from Dan Parry.

In One West, Dunvant eased to a 38-7 win over basement boys Crymych as they look to return to the National Championsh­ip at the first time of asking.

Ben Davies, Danny Davies, Gethin John, Sam Hawkes, Ben Ley and Sam Evans all went over to move Dunvant five points clear with Felinfoel’s fixture at Tycroes postponed.

Evans completed the rout with four conversion­s.

It was a tight game in One West Central as leaders Maesteg Quins made it eight wins from eight with a 24-22 victory over Aberavon Quins.

Geraint Evans, Ben Davies, Michael Owen and Andrew Healy scored for Maesteg Quins while Rhodri Davies claimed two conversion­s.

Meanwhile, Arthur Lennon was the star as Nant Conwy beat Bro Ffes- tiniog 49-20 to move eight points clear at the top of One North.

He scored 24 points through two tries, two penalties and four conversion­s. The rest of the points came from Morgan Dafydd, Robin Glyn, Gethin Vaughan, Sion Pringle and Tom Oliver.

There are new leaders in One East after Brynmawr beat Blaenavon 29-7 and Penallta were beaten 24-19 by Risca.

And in One East Central, Ystrad Rhondda remain top after a 37-12 success over Mountain Ash.
