HAVERFORDW­EST narrowed the gap at the top of the Nathaniel Car Sales Welsh League to just two points when they ground out a 2-1 victory at Undy Athletic.

Dan Jarmon had given Undy the first-half lead with the only goal before the interval but the West Walians produced a second-half performanc­e with strikes by Joe Leahy and Sean Pemberton giving them the points.

Llanelli’s eagerly-awaited top of the table clash with Penybont scheduled for Stebonheat­h Park was called off because of the weather conditions.

In the only other first division game to survive the weather, Goytre United kept themselves firmly among the chasing pack with a 3-1 triumph at Monmouth Town.

Tom Walters bagged a Goytre brace and Rameer Outlaw got their other goal while Mitchell Palmer was the Monmouth marksman.

In a table-topping clash in Division two Garden Village overcame Pontypridd Town 2-0and the pair are now locked together on the same number of points.

Callum Silcox and Josh Bradshaw netted for Pontypridd.

Ammanford proved far too strong for West End and cruised to a 4-0 success.

Gavin Jones bagged a stunning hat-trick and Brett Enoch also scored.

A Matthew Thomas goal was sufficient to give Risca a 1-0 win over Dinas Powis.

Only one game survived in Division Three – Bridgend Street won 2-1 at Ynysygerwn thanks to goals by Jeff White and Mike Murphy.
