GLAMORGAN Wanderers went top of One East Central with a five-star 33-13 bonus-point home victory over Porth Harlequins.

Rob Evans was at the double for the Wanderers with Aaron Fowler, Cameron Gibbons and Andy Evans their other try scorers with Luke Fisher converting four of the five tries.

As a result the Wanderers, who are bidding to return to the National Championship at the first time of asking, have gone four points clear of Ystrad Rhonnda who had their scheduled home game with Llantrisant postponed due to the weather.

Elsewhere in One East Central Jack Roberts and Will Holley both bagged themselves braces as Mountain Ash hit Llanharan for six in a 47-9 victory.

Curtis Williams and Jarrod Parfitt were their other try scorers while three penalties and four conversions from Holley saw him end with a personal 27 points haul.

And tries from Callum Wingren, Ieuan Matthews and James Egan helped St Joseph’s to a 29-16 home success against Rumney.

The other scheduled games at Heol y Cyw and Treorchy both failed to beat the weather – while the entire programme in both One West and One West Central was washed out.

One North leaders Nant Conwy made it 14 wins out of 15 as tries from Ifan Jones and Cai Jones helped them to a 14-6 home victory against Bethesda.

Arthur Lennon converted both scores.

Nant have also extended their lead over Bala to 15 points after the second-placed side crashed 20-9 at home against Llandudno.

Tries from Adam Thomas, Iolo Hughes and Iolo Evans, meanwhile, guided Caernarfon to a 28-24 win at Mold with Hughes also booting two conversions and three penalties.

Mold did, though, outscore their visitors four tries to three to bag two bonus points with Danny Williams claiming a brace.

Rhys Lewis scored for Dolgellau in their 19-6 victory over Ruthin with Gerwyn Thomas booting their other points while the games at Bro Ffestiniog and Llangefni were off.
