A huge Narberth collapse saw them lose ground on the top two in the National Championsh­ip as they slipped to a 31-29 defeat to Bedlinog.

Narberth looked to be cruising to victory as they led 29-0 thanks to tries from Bradley Davies, Liam Hutchings and Tom Powell. Ianto Griffiths made up the rest of the points.

But Bedlinog produced a remarkable turnaround in the final 30 minutes. Nathan Huish started the comeback with a 50th minute try and Bedlinog rallied with Liam Jones, Jake Howard and penalty try pushing them closer to Narberth.

Daniel Parry added a conversion as it looked like they would claim a losing bonus point but deep into injury time James Soames crossed to level the score and Parry kept his composure to kick the winning conversion.

Leaders Pontypool made no such mistake as they claimed a 15th consecutiv­e league victory.

The reigning champions made light work of Beddau, claiming a 38-0 win thanks to a double from Owen Williams and further tries from Joel Mahoney, Jordan Williams, Ryan Harford and a penalty try.

Kieran Meek booted two conversion­s while Matthew Jones added a third.

Elsewhere, struggling Skewen were well beaten 35-5 at Newbridge.

Aiden Palmer bagged a brace with Lewis Hudd and Simon Veall joining him on the scoresheet. The rest of Newbridge’s points came from the boot of Eamonn Rees. Gareth Morris ensured Skewen got off the mark.

Trebanos made it three wins in a row with a 22-10 success over Cardiff Met. Chris Forshaw, Tom Dew, Kieron Weightman and Matthew Edwards secured the bonus-point win. Dew also added a conversion.

The Met hit back through seven points from George Simpson and an Andrew Nurse penalty.

In other action, Newcastle Emlyn got the better of Rhydyfelin to seal a 27-20 victory.

In One West, Dunvant slipped off the top after losing 42-37 at Gowerton.

Sam Evans bagged 22 points while Sam Crowley, Mark Loughlin and Ben Ley all crashed over for Dunvant.

But Gowerton matched them all the way with Gwyn Davies and Jack Solomon both at the double.

Luke Jones and Gareth John were also on the scoresheet while Josh Hamer booted 12 points to seal the win. Felinfoel took advantage of Dunvant’s slip-up to go top after beating Aberystwyt­h 39-22.

In One East, leaders Brynmawr maintained their seven-point lead at the top after beating Pontypool United 22-5.

Damien Hudd, Adam Lane, Josh Congreve and Dan Croft all went over.

But the headlines went to Joseph Scrivens who bagged a remarkable 43 points as Penallta thrashed Ynysybwl 83-14.

The fly half crossed the whitewash four times and booted a further 23 points to cap off a fine individual display.
