Mum goes missing after birth of her son

-

A WOMAN has gone missing – just days after giving birth.

Michaela Rehova, who may also be known as Michaela Novak, is believed to be from the Czech Republic.

She gave birth to a boy at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Denbighshire on Wednesday, June 6, but later left the hospital of her own accord.

Her current whereabouts are unknown and the baby boy is in the care of social services, a Denbighshire County Council spokesman said.

Michaela is described as 6ft tall and it is believed she has links in Rhyl, as well as in the Warrington, Birchwood, Widnes and Bradford areas of the north of England.

The council is appealing for Michaela to get in touch.

A spokesman for the authority said: “We have a duty of care to try and trace the mother, to see what she would like to call her child, to check that she’s OK, and to ask her about the child’s future.

“That is why we are making a direct appeal to Michaela to get in touch with us so that we can ask her these questions directly.

“The information we have is very limited and that is why we want to trace Michaela. Extensive inquiries have been carried out and now we are making a public appeal to try and find her.

“Also we would like to hear from anyone who may know her whereabouts, or who may have seen her in recent days, to get in touch with the council as soon as possible”.

Anyone with information can call 07468 708592.
