ROSIE’S ISLAND LOVE IS OVER

- JESSICA WALFORD Reporter jessica.walford@walesonline.co.uk

SHE thought she had it all when she found love on Love Island – but now Rosie Williams is “gutted” she’s left the villa after she was ditched on Friday night’s show. The 26-year-old solicitor from the Rhondda was booted off the ITV show after the islanders took part in a recoupling (or a pairing up for any nonLove Islanders out there).

Anyone not in a pair gets dumped from the villa.

Despite initially thinking she’d found love with Adam Collard, he paired up with newbie Zara McDermott when she entered the villa recently.

It left Rosie tearful and her sleeping on the sofa for days.

It all came down to new boy Sam Bird to choose between the Welsh beauty and Samira Mighty on Friday night’s show.

He went for Samira, leaving Rosie to be ditched from the show – but she left the villa to cheers.

Now, looking back, Rosie said she would have picked very differently if she could start all over again.

“I still wanted to find somebody who really wanted to make a relationship with me,” she said.

“After spending time with Sam there could have been potential – we got on a lot quicker than I expected when he walked in, so I was a bit shocked when he picked Samira, but I’m happy for her.” How does she feel about Adam now? “I feel Adam has a lot of growing up to do and he handled the situation with me the wrong way. I didn’t deserve what I went through” she said.

“But he did apologise to me when I left and we did make an effort to be friends. Hopefully when he comes out everything can be civil and we can actually go out with the rest of the people in the villa without it being awkward.”

Does she think he’ll change, though? After all, he did ditch Kendall for her when she came in.

“I don’t think Adam can help himself,” Rosie said.

“I think whenever he sees someone new come in they’re a challenge for him. He wants to be the alpha male.”

“Zara is very clever – I think she has a game plan. She came in and was cold towards all the girls and was very boyfocused.

“She made out to the boys we had isolated her when really we had put in the effort but she gave nothing back.” Does she have any regrets? “Knowing what I know now I wouldn’t have coupled up with Adam but at the same time I believe you shouldn’t look back,” she said.

“I would go back into the villa, it was an amazing experience.”

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
