ERWIN MULDER
Aside from the goal didn’t have an awful lot to do. Distribution was a little off, but otherwise not too much to take issue with.
CONNOR ROBERTS
Threw himself about well, and showed plenty of desire throughout. Not his best performance, but solid enough.
MIKE VAN DER HOORN
Another rock solid performance from the Dutchman, who made some crucial interventions to keep Millwall at bay in the first half
JOE RODON
A very capable partner to van der Hoorn, making several decent contributions and played out from the back well, although he did have a couple of nervy moments.
MARTIN OLSSON
Showed some bright spells going forward, and looked very accomplished defensively. A very solid performance that perhaps deserved more.
DANIEL JAMES
A strong presence through the middle for the Swans. Looks a very good prospect and certainly wasn’t afraid to have a go at the Millwall defence, leading some nice counter-attacking moves.
LEROY FER (CAPT)
Held the midfield together reasonably well for the short time he was on the pitch, and added a much-needed physical presence from set pieces. Unlucky to go off injured on 35 minutes.
MATT GRIMES
Reasonably assured in midfield. Show some nice touches and looked very composed. Certainly has plenty of potential and this experience will have served him well
BERSANT CELINA
Pulled the strings after the red card and kept his head. A steely performance that Graham Potter will be very pleased with.
COURTNEY BAKER-RICHARDSON
Put his side up against with a thoroughly deserved red card for an appalling challenge on Millwall’s James Meredith after just five minutes. Was just about his only contribution on a totally disastrous debut.
