CAERNARFON Town picked up their fourth win since returning to the JD Welsh Premier League as they beat Llanelli Town 3-0 at the Oval in the battle of the two newly-promoted sides.

The deadlock was broken on 58 minutes by Danny Brookwell who, after receiving the ball inside the box, jinked a couple of times to create space before firing low into the corner past Oliver Davies.

The Cofis doubled their lead on 69 minutes when Sion Bradley, just on as a sub, collected the ball 25 yards out and slotted it through to Jamie Breese who rounded Davies before sliding home.

Cai Jones added a third four minutes from time to wrap up the points for Caernarfon.

Meanwhile there was late drama as Jenner Park where Momodou Touray snatched a 2-1 injury time victory for Barry Town United over Cefn Druids.

Earlier Arek Piskorski had put the Druids ahead inside 30 seconds and that was the way it stayed until 73 minutes when returning captain Jordan Cotterill levelled for Barry.

Elsewhere, Aberystwyt­h Town came from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw at Carmarthen Town.

Luke Bowen put the Old Gold ahead on 10 minutes with Liam Thomas doubling their lead six minutes before the break.

Ashley Ruane pulled one back for Aber on 64 minutes who levelled on 76 through Declan Walker. Champions The New Saints were held to a surprise goalless draw with Bala at Park Hall while Newtown were 2-1 home winners over Cardiff Metropolit­an University.

Sam Snaith put Met ahead, but Alex Fletcher and Neil Mitchell hit back for the Robins.
