LEADERS Penybont remain unbeaten in Nathaniel Car Sales Welsh League Division One after coming from behind to earn a 2-1 win at Afan Lido.

Noah Daley had given Lido a dream start in the first minute and that was the way it stayed until Owain Warlow levelled it up for the visitors on 69 minutes.

Luke Borelli then netted the winner on 77 minutes for Penybont who now have five wins and 16 points from six games.

They are now four points clear of Haverfordwest County, who slipped to their first defeat of the campaign – going down 2-1 at Cambrian & Clydach courtesy of two late goals.

Lee Trundle’s 10th minute opener looked to have set the Bluebirds on their way to victory, until David Thomas – from the penalty spot – and an 89th winner Michael Jones winner snatched all three points for Cambrian who are now fourth in the table. Haverfordwest do still have a game in hand on Penybont, as do Cwmbran Celtic, who are third on 10 points following their 1-0 win at Llantwit Major. Chris Ham’s goal proved decisive. Elsewhere Taffs Well bagged their first victory of the season at the fifth attempt with Warren Jones’ 35th minutes goal earning them a 1-0 home victory over Cwmamman United. Meanwhile, Lee Bevan’s first half was the difference for Briton Ferry Llansawel as they defeated Goytre United 1-0.

Ammanford were 4-0 winners in Gwent at Goytre thanks to Matthew Jones’ brace and goals from Ricky Martin and Cameron Isaac.
