BARRY Town United maintained their perfect home record in the JD Welsh Premier League with an emphatic 5-2 triumph over newly promoted Llanelli Town.

It was a fast start at Jenner Park as Robbie Patten put the hosts ahead in the fourth minute, only for Joe Clarke to restore parity minutes later.

Jonathan Hood re-established Barry’s lead shortly before the break, tapping in the rebound from Jordan Cotterill’s saved shot.

However, the Reds hit back again with Lenny Evans levelling the score before Clarke was sent off for the visitors.

Barry eventually made their numerical superiority count when Chris Hugh drilled in a third before Llanelli were reduced to nine men with Chris Thomas sent off.

Clayton Green and McLaggon added gloss scoreline with late goals.

Elsewhere, Newtown eased to a 3-0 victory over Caernarfon Town.

After a goalless first-half, Luke Boundford, Nick Rushton and Neil Mitchell all found the net after the break to hand Newtown all three points.

A late penalty was enough to see Aberystwyth Town take maximum points at the Giant Hospitality Stadium against Llandudno.

Declan Walker converted from the spot on 80 minutes after Ashley Ruane was fouled by Kai Edwards.

Zyaac Edwards saw red in the final minutes to cap off a miserable day for the Seasiders.

In other action, goals from Steve Tames and Kieran Smith gave Bala Town a 2-1 victory over 10-man Carmarthen Town.

Declan Carroll netted for the Old Gold while Luke Bowen picked up two yellow cards in the second half.

Elsewhere, Naim Arsan was on the scoresheet for Cefn Druids as they drew 1-1 with Cardiff Met, who had Adam Roscrow on target. Kayne to the
