AMAN who raped a woman who was sleeping in a tent at a campsite and a medic who assaulted a woman being taken to hospital by ambulance are among the people who have been jailed over the past week.

Here are the criminals and their crimes... ALEXANDER HUGHES The medical profession­al was jailed after sexually assaulting an 18-yearold woman who was being taken to hospital by ambulance.

The 33-year-old was jailed and barred from being a medic after being found guilty of four counts of sexual assault against two victims.

JAMES DAVIES The pensioner was jailed after he parked in the fast lane of the M42, causing the death of his two passengers.

AARON SMITH The 27-year-old was jailed for six years after raping a woman who was sleeping in a tent at a campsite. She was attacked at a live action role play event called Herofest in Candleston­e Campsite, Merthyr Mawr, near Bridgend, in September 2017. SAMUEL LIA The 17st doorman deliberate­ly barged into a clubgoer from behind and “knocked her out cold”.

Heather Morgan was left unconsciou­s when she fell and hit her head on the pavement after being assaulted by 6ft 2in Samuel Lia as she made her way to McDonald’s. CRAIG BREW The man with a “shocking” record for carrying weapons in the street was jailed for nine months after a judge said he had been dealt with too leniently in the past.

Brew was found shouting threats at people and with a chair leg hidden up the sleeve of his track suit in Swansea’s Castle Square.
