How they rated

- BY ANDREW GWILYM

ERWIN MULDER

Had no chance with either of the two goals but made superb saves to deny Wilson a hat-trick and to keep Mount off the scoreline.

CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS

A very difficult day. He and Connor Roberts had their hands full and were not always attuned to each other. Switch to left-back was mercifully short-lived as he was all over the shop there.

JOE RODON

A challenging afternoon. Got away with a misjudgement against Lawrence and was uncharacteristically sloppy at times but, like his side, finished strongly.

CONNOR ROBERTS

Has followed up his new contract with his two most subdued performances of the campaign to date. Is far more effective when Swansea play four at the back.

JAY FULTON

Restored to the starting line-up but a peripheral figure with Swansea playing in a more direct, counter-attacking fashion. Had little impact.

MATT GRIMES

Started busily enough with some crisp passes but Swansea’s lack of ball gave him little chance to dictate. Moved to left-back and helped kick off some threatening attacks from deep.

DECLAN JOHN

A couple of positive bursts down the left, but also some very poor errors in possession. A surprise selection that did not really pay off.

BERSANT CELINA

It took until the final 20 minutes for him to have any real chance to show what he can do. Swansea’s desire to isolate Daniel James against Richard Keogh meant the ball often bypassed him.

OLI MCBURNIE

Had shown some good touches and his battling qualities with little service, but will rue that horrible error to let in Wilson for the second.

DANIEL JAMES

His pace was a threat and was too much for Keogh, but his composure and decision-making let him down. One heavy final ball denied Fulton a clear sight of goal. Suffered late injury.
