JUST hours ahead of the Spice Girls’ Welsh stadium show, Mel B has responded to fans at their first show on the 2019 world tour after concert-goers said they “could hardly make out the words they were saying”.

Dozens of fans who attended the show at Croke Park in Dublin for the first leg of the reunion tour took to social media to complain about the sound issue on Friday night.

“The sound at Spice Girls Spice

World 2019 was terrible, had no idea what they were saying and could barely hear what they were singing,” one person wrote on social media.

Another said she saw a lot of people leaving the stadium.

“Too bad you can’t hear a thing,” another said. The sound is awful. Was perfect for Jess Glynne and is horrific now. Loads of people leaving.

“The sound was terrible. EUR140 for tickets. Talking to loads of people leaving early disappointed. Not with the girls, just the sound.

“The stewards said there is a ‘glitch’ and huge numbers around me leaving.”

One concert goer said that it was the worst sound she’d heard at a concert.

“The Spice Girls put on a fabulous show tonight,” she said.

“But am really surprised that nobody seems to be talking about how poor the sound was.

“Could hardly make out the words they were saying at times. Was worst sound I’ve ever heard at a concert.”

Another added: “There’s something wrong when the crowd at Spice Girls concert are all sitting down because no one has a clue what song is on because the sound really is THAT bad.”

A frustrated-sounding Scary Spice took to Twitter to reassure fans at their next show in Cardiff tomorrow that the sound would be “better”.

“Hey guys, thank you for attending our show tonight in Dublin,” she said on her Instagram while lying in bed.

“We will see you in Cardiff. And hopefully the vocals and the sound will be much better,” before sighing.

Tomorrow night, the Spice Girls play Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, with Jess Glynne as support.
