IF YOU fancy a career change and are looking for something completely different to the usual office-based nine to five, we’ve found a few jobs that may pique your interest.

A number of vacancies are floating around in Wales; some in a line of work that’s slightly unusual, and some jobs for people looking to take that big step up – in both responsi

bility and pay.

There are some that’ll leave your tastebuds tingling, but be warned, there’s one job that requires a very strong stomach.

Here are the interestin­g, unusually and aspiration­al jobs you can apply for right now in Wales. 1. A CRIME SCENE CLEANER Crime Scene Cleaning UK LTD, based in Bridgend, is looking for someone to fill the role of crime scene cleaner.

The person to fill the vacancy will join a “fast-growing” team of mobile crime scene cleaners – but it’s definitely not a job for the faint-hearted.

The job advert for the Crime Scene Cleaning UK LTD vacancy also says that full training will be given to the successful candidate and a company vehicle will be provided, with all motoring costs covered. 2. CHOCOLATE ADVISER This one is a lot nicer – as it involves chocolate.

Lindt is looking for a chocolate adviser for one of its stores in Bridgend. 3. PUB BUSINESS PARTNER Chances are you’ve thought about running your own pub.

Well, now you can as Marstons is looking for a pub business partner at the Black Lion in Mold. 4. ETHICAL HACKER Not only does this job sound cool, but you’ll be doing good work too.

Working in cyber security, based in Cardiff, you’ll be testing the effectiven­ess of their security controls in both the technology and human process spaces. 5. FOOTBALL STATISTICI­AN If you’re a football fan and want to get paid to attend games, this is the job for you.

You just have to create reports, based on data collection, from the venues you’ll travel to.

It’s a part-time role and students are welcome to apply. 6. CHIEF OFFICER ON A RESEARCH VESSEL P&O Maritime Services is recruiting a chief officer for the Prince Madog – a UK registered research vessel based in Menai Bridge. 7. FOOD TECHNOLOGI­ST IN A CHOCOLATE FACTORY Another chocolate-related job, this one would see the successful candidate take responsibi­lity for all the technical food related roles within the company.

The role includes preparing new product samples, writing product specificat­ions and ensuring products match agreed specificat­ions. 8. CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINE­R Whether you are looking for a new career or a part-time or weekend job in Cardiff, this children’s entertaine­r job will pay you between £47.50 and £77.50 per hour to party for a living.

There are definitely worse ways to make money. 9. COUPLE’S JOB – HEAD GARDENER AND HOUSEKEEPE­R This job requires a couple – to take on roles of head gardener and housekeepe­r.

The owners of a seven-bedroom period property in North Wales, are now looking for an experience­d couple to take on the roles of head gardener and housekeepe­r to work alongside a small existing team. 10. EVENTS AND WEDDING CO-ORDINATOR If planning events is your passion, this job is for you.

The successful candidate will be responsibl­e for all aspects of the private event management, predominan­tly weddings, from securing bookings to planning and delivering the events. 11. ADVANCE CONTENT AND SOCIAL MEDIA WRITER Our sister website, North Wales Live, is looking for someone with superb social media skills, who can create compelling and shareable content for the digital and social media platforms.
