15 IN COURT OVER DRUGS
FIFTEEN people have appeared in court accused of drug offences which were part of alleged county lines drug operations. In two separate hearings yesterday morning – one at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court and one at North-East Wales Magistrates’ in Mold – defendants from North Wales, Merseyside and Scotland made first appearances after being charged as part of Operation Tide.
Appearing at Llandudno were seven defendants. Steven Dooley, 32, of Waresley Crescent, Liverpool; Shaun Dooley, 30, of Bulford Road, Liverpool; Jack Jones, 27, of Rimrose Valley Road, Crosby, Merseyside; and Colin Jones, 48, who police said was from Merseyside but is of no fixed address, were all accused of conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine, amphetamine and an unnamed class B drug between January 1, 2017, and September 6, this year. Colin Jones was also accused of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent
Anthony Fahy, 27, of Gongl Rhedyn, Cemaes Bay, Anglesey, was
accused of conspiracy to supply cocaine and another unnamed Class B drug. Leon Langford, 43, of Kingsley Road, Garden City, Deeside, was charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine, and Richard Anderson, 46, of Glebe Place, Lockerbie, Scotland, was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine
All seven were remanded in custody to appear via video link at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on Thursday September 12. There were no applications for bail.
Appearing before North-East Wales Magistrates’ Court in Mold were: Dave James Rawling, 37, of Lily Road, Litherland, Liverpool, who faces seven charges of conspiracy. Six charges involve the supply of heroin, cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine. He is also charged with conspiring to causing GBH with intent between May and June this year. He was remanded in custody.
Keith Raymond Furmedge, 49, of Elstead Road in Liverpool, and Patricia Massingham, 49, of Studland Road, Liverpool, both face six charges of conspiracy between May and June this year involving heroin, cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine. Both were remanded in custody.
Toni Anne Louise Stagg, 21, of Queensway, Shotton, and Lisa May Tinson, 44, of Osbourne Court, Connah’s Quay, both face two conspiracy charges involving heroin and cocaine. Both were remanded in custody. Peter Powell, 52, of Sealand Avenue, Garden City, and James Michael Hughes, 38, of Ryland Street, Shotton, face two conspiracy charges involving heroin and cocaine. Both were granted conditional bail.
Edward White, 60, from Elstead Road, Liverpool, faces six charges of conspiring to supply heroin, cocaine and amphetamine. Magistrates were told he was due at Walton Hospital for treatment. He was remanded in custody and arrangements made to take him to hospital
The defendants in custody will appear via video link to Wrexham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
