SWANSEA University remain a point clear in JD Cymru South – but needed a last-gasp leveller from Adam Orme to snatch a 1-1 draw against Pontypridd Town,

Orme netted on 90 minutes to cancel out Liam Shaw’s first half opener for Pontypridd and maintains the university side’s narrow advantage on Haverfordwest County, who do have a better goal difference.

Haverfordwest, though, were unable to reclaim top spot after they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by relegation battling Cwmbran Celtic.

The Bluebirds led twice in the match through Ben Fawcett but they were pegged on both occasions by Tom Meechan and then Rakesh Patel from the penalty spot.

Third placed Briton Ferry Llansawel lost ground on the top two after they went down 2-0 at home against Cambrian & Clydach.

Goytre United beat Ammanford 2-1 thanks to Cullen Kinsella and Keane Watts while Gavin Jones replied for Ammanford – who drop a place to fifth.

Moving above them into fourth are STM Sports, who showed no sign of a hangover from their Nathaniel MG Cup final defeat last weekend as they returned to winning ways 3-1 at Afan Lido.

STM were two up inside five minutes thanks to Ben Ahmun and a Sean Hanbury own goal.

Kaid Mohamed responded for Lido just before the break although Ahmun made sure with his second a minute from time.

Meanwhile the basement battle between Caerau Ely and Cwmamman United ended 1-1. Josh Spencer’s 88th minute leveller earned the hosts a point after David Brown’s first half opener for Cwmamman.

Llantwit Major were 3-0 winners at Undy Athletic with Rob Jones, Lewis James and Josh Jones grabbing the goals, while Taffs Well twice came from behind at Llanelli Town to leave with a 2-2 draw.

Zac Brown and Liam Samuel twice had the Reds in front, but Tom Gameson and Jordan Carey responded for the Wellmen.

In other action, Trefelin BGC stretched their lead at the top of Nathaniel Cars Welsh League Division One to 18 points following a 4-1 home defeat of Ton Pentre.

Division Two leaders Ynysygerwn romped to a 6-1 win at Albion Rovers and remain a point clear of Trethomas Bluebirds, who enjoyed a 3-1 success at Ynyshir Albions.

In the Souther Premier League Merthyr Town went down to a 2-0 defeat at Chesham United.
