LOVE Island star Connagh Howard has been in North Wales filming for a new TV show – and he brought his dad with him. The reality TV star and his father Wayne visited the region as part of a journey around Wales for the S4C series Cymru, Dad a Fi (Wales, Dad and Me).

In the series from Caernarfonbased production company Cwmni Da, the father and son travel across the country to learn more about their family history and their Welsh, Jamaican and Irish heritage.

Part of the journey involved travelling from Anglesey to the Llyn Peninsula, before heading down to Pembrokeshire and the South Wales coast and returning to their home in Cardiff.

The series will follow the family as they meet new people, take part in a host of exciting activities and visit places they’ve never seen before.

Producer Mali Parry-Jones said:

“It’s been a pleasure to get to know Wayne and Connagh on this journey.

“With their Jamaican roots and Connagh’s experience on Love Island last year, it’s quite fitting for them to be exploring the spectacular islands of Wales together.

“They have thrown themselves into the series, physically and emotionally, and have got to know Wales a bit better by meeting different groups and individuals and visiting new places.

“We’ve also enjoyed going out to sea on different boats to visit these stunning islands. Personally, it’s been a bit of a dream job for me so far, and I can’t wait for viewers to enjoy this heart-warming, uplifting series.”
