Wales On Sunday

How they rated

- BY IAN MITCHELMORE

FREDDIE WOODMAN

Was afforded the opportunity to top up his tan in the opening half as Swansea dominated. Under pressure after the restart and got nowhere near Kasey Palmer’s goal from the corner before making a mess of things at the death.

JOEL LATIBEAUDIERE

Made a few interceptions and looked very comfortable on the ball while getting forward at every opportunity. Subbed as Swansea pushed.

BEN CABANGO

The Welshman was a rock in the middle of Swansea’s back three and impressed in possession while also carrying a threat in the Bristol City box. Put under pressure in the second half but coped fairly well.

MARC GUEHI

Barely troubled defensively which allowed the Chelsea loanee to show his talents on the ball. Harder in the final quarter of the game and was unable to make the tackle in the build-up to the equaliser.

CONNOR ROBERTS

Caused carnage on the right flank, so much so that Ryley Towler - who earned a booking - was subbed before half-time. Quieter after the restart, but still caused problems.

CONOR HOURIHANE

Deliveries from corners caused problems while he came so close to heading the Swans in front before half-time. Quiet in the second half as Swansea lost control. Replaced.

YAN DHANDA

Linked up very well with Roberts and played his part in some of Swansea’s best attacks. Decent attempt in the first half, but was quiet in the second half before being taken off.

JAKE BIDWELL

Afforded the opportunity to play very high up the pitch and offered a real threat in attack. Had a tough job in the second half though.

ANDRE AYEW

The Ghanaian caused heaps of problems in the final third and showed great composure to convert the penalty to move on to 10 goals for the season. Missed a great chance to equalise late on.

JAMAL LOWE

Had a driven shot well saved but his link-up play was hugely impressive for the first 45.
