SPACE DOGS: RETURN TO EARTH (U)
VALIANT dogstronauts Belka (voiced by Maria Antonieta Monge) and Strelka (Mauriett Chayeb) are ordered to terminate their current sample-gathering mission on an ice moon of Saturn and return to Earth.
The plucky duo is requested to investigate an anomaly in the Atlantic Ocean near Cuba, which poses a threat to furry and feathered residents of the tropics.
Bolted together in Russia and then dubbed into English, Space Dogs: Return To Earth is the third chapter of the Space Dogs saga. It blasts off for an out-of-this-world adventure but cannot escape the gravitational pull of a pedestrian plot and solid, unremarkable visuals.

WRITER-DIRECTOR Ben Falcone reunites creatively with his wife, actress Melissa McCarthy, for a fast-paced action comedy set in a world of supervillains led by The King (Bobby Cannavale). He commands a team of evil criminals including The Crab (Jason Bateman) and Laser (Pom Klementieff). Scientist Emily Stanton (Octavia Spencer) hopes to fight back by developing a serum that can bless citizens with superpowers.
Lydia (McCarthy) is accidentally injected with one batch of the drug and develops incredible strength to match Emily’s invisibility. The women test their abilities on the streets and their heroic efforts elicit a devastating response from The King and his underlings.
