BAPTISTE Tonight, BBC1, 9pm

With a corrupt cop son in prison, a recovering addict daughter, a baby granddaugh­ter, a pronounced limp, and a great many other demons, you could say Julien Baptiste is at a low ebb. However, the grizzled detective is very good at his job – finding missing people – despite what is going on in his own complicate­d life.

In this second episode of the new run, the eponymous sleuth needs to use all his skills as he and the Hungarian officer in charge of the case, Zsofia, head deeper into Budapest’s corrupt underworld to track down the tattooed man.

However, things escalate when the police receive a hostage video, and Emma takes drastic action for her family.

LONG LOST FAMILY Tomorrow, ITV, 9pm

The team comes to the aid of two women with heartbreak­ing stories.

Paula Stillie has always looked different from her white adoptive family in Scotland and, as a little girl would cover herself in talcum powder to make herself look more like her parents. Paula now wants to know who her birth family are and what part of the world she comes from.

Meanwhile, Lisa Harding grew up in the North-east of England with her single mum Moyra. When she was 15, she learned her mum gave up a baby girl for adoption and, only when Moyra was dying of cancer, did she express her desire to find her eldest daughter. Now, Lisa is on a mission to fulfil her mother’s last wish.

BAKE OFF: THE PROFESSION­ALS – THE FINAL

Tuesday, Channel 4, 8pm

After weeks of gruelling competitio­n, the last three teams face two epic challenges from fiendish judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden.

In the first marathon task they must produce hats fit for Tinseltown, constructe­d entirely from chocolate and modelled by the teams, alongside 24 filled chocolates and 24 confection­s, all in just four hours.

They then face the final challenge to create a banquet, fit for the awards ceremony of their choosing, to feed 60 people.

CHRIS PACKHAM: THE WALK THAT MADE ME

Wednesday, BBC2, 8pm

Chris Packham has previously opened up about his mental health struggles, and here he explores the importance of nature when it comes to wellbeing, walking along the River Itchen and Itchen Navigation.

It stirs up powerful memories of walking the same stretch with his father, playing in the fields with his beloved kestrel, and living with undiagnose­d Asperger’s Syndrome while he was growing up.
