Liam Neeson plays a humble snowplough driver whose son has been murdered via a forced heroin overdose. When his grief-stricken wife leaves him, our hero embarks on a bloodthirsty search for revenge. He learns a drug cartel was behind his offspring’s demise and sets about killing its members one by one. Having a brother who was once a mob enforcer comes in handy when the cartel’s head honcho takes umbrage at his behaviour.
Tom Bateman, Emmy Possum and Laura Dern co-star in this remake of the Norwegian movie In Order of Disappearance.

THE BOURNE LEGACY Tomorrow, ITV4, 9pm
Jeremy Renner (left) takes the lead role for the fourth entry in the action thriller franchise. He plays Aaron Cross, a genetically enhanced member of a Black Ops team who goes on the run after discovering the leaders of a shady government agency want to bump off people like him before their secrets can be exposed.

SLAUGHTERHOUSE RULEZ Tuesday, Film4, 11.20pm
Simon Pegg (left) plays a teacher at an illustrious boarding school which becomes a battleground between the pupils and an unspeakable horror unleashed at a fracking site in this horror comedy from Crispian Mills, frontman of rock band Kula Shaker in the 1990s. Asa Butterfield, Nick Frost, Margot Robbie and Michael Sheen co-star.

In this swashbuckling adventure set during the Napoleonic Wars, Captain Jack Aubrey (Russell Crowe, left) and the crew of the HMS Surprise are ordered to intercept a French war ship. However, when his own ship is heavily damaged, he realises the task is not as easy as it seems

BRIDESHEAD REVISITED Thursday, BBC4, 8pm
Big screen version of Evelyn Waugh’s much-loved novel. Matthew Goode plays Charles Ryder, a middle-class wannabe artist who is reading history at Oxford when he meets and befriends flamboyant aristocrat Sebastian Flyte (Ben Whishaw, left with co-star Hayley Atwell), and soon becomes sucked into his decadent world.

DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE Friday, ITV, 11.05pm
In this action sequel, loose-cannon cop John McClane (Bruce Willis, left) returns to duty following an explosion at a New York City department store. The perpetrator contacts the police and tells them that unless McClane and a bystander, carry out a series of instructions, more bombs will be detonated across the city.

Prim and proper Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman (Jennifer Grey) goes to summer camp with her parents and falls in love with dance instructor Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze, left with Grey).
