EIGHT areas of Wales now have Covid infection rates of more than 350 cases per 100,000 people.

Wales has now had two weeks of declining Covid cases after they peaked towards the end of the Euros.

The latest Covid data published by Public Health Wales (PHW) shows there are pockets of very high Covid rates in Conwy and Denbighshire.

This data was first released on Friday, August 6. It provides the numbers for areas with an average of 7,000 people, called middle super output areas (MSOA).

The data shows there are eight places in Wales with more than 350 cases per 100,000 of population and one where the figure exceeds 600. It comes as Wales lifts the vast majority of remaining Covid restrictions.
