Aled Davies gets set to tackle TV’s SAS challenge

-

WELSH Paralympian Aled Davies will join TV stars Ulrika Jonsson, Kerry Katona and Ore Oduba among the new recruits for the upcoming series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

Also being put through their paces by chief instructor Ant Middleton and his team will be singer Alexandra Burke, Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell, former Premiership footballer Kieron Dyer and Loose Women star Saira Khan.

Former Love Island star Wes Nelson, TV personality Vicky Pattison, singer Jake Quickenden and BMX and track world champion Shanaze Reade will also see if they have what it takes to pass SAS selection.

Aled, from Bridgend – a double Paralympic gold medallist and six times world champion, who has also broken world records in the shot put and discus – together with the rest of the group, will be seen leaving behind their comfortable homes and glamorous lifestyles and heading into the wilds of the Inner Hebrides in Scotland to the remote island of Raasay for what is described as “one of the toughest selection courses yet”.

Putting them through a condensed course over eight days will be Middleton and his team of Directing Staff (DS), Foxy, Billy, Melvyn and Staz.

The 12 stars will face gruelling tasks and interrogations that will test them both physically and mentally and each will confront surprising truths about themselves.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to Channel 4 on Sunday, August 29, at 9pm
