Family tribute to crash victim

-

A YOUNG man who died in a crash has been described by his family as the “best son and brother” anyone could ask for.

Jack Daniel Elden Chahal, from Prestatyn, died after the car he was travelling in crashed on the A548 in Gronant, Flintshire, on Easter Sunday.

The 22-year-old was in the passenger seat of a silver BMW 520. The 27-year-old driver suffered critical injuries.

In a touching tribute, Jack’s family said: “Jack had a caring, funny and beautiful soul with an infectious smile. He was the best son and brother you could ask for and was fiercely protective of his family. He always put others before himself and had a ‘happy go lucky’ character. He was a loyal young man who also had a heart of gold and was loved by many.

“He spent sometime studying at college but his main aim was to set up his own IT business. We know he had the determination to succeed and he was working hard to achieve that goal.

“He will be forever in our hearts and his story will continue to be told. He will never be forgotten.”

The crash, which occurred between Gronant Hill and the roundabout for Talcare, forced the road to close for almost 10 hours from just before 5am until 2.30pm. Motorists were advised to avoid the area while police and emergency services worked at the scene.

North Wales Police are still appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information on the incident to come forward.

Anyone with information that can assist the police with their investigation is encouraged to contact them via their live webchat quoting ref 22000263059.
