The polychromatic district of Gallaratese in Milan, designed by Carlo Aymonino and Aldo Rossi in the 1960s, provided a striking backdrop to our menswear story on page 220. ‘The architecture was an incredible setting for the shoot. Everyone who lives there has been there since it was built,’ says Londonbased Coulson. ‘Each time we stopped shooting we realised how quiet and peaceful it was.’ Coulson counts the likes of Adidas and Harvey Nichols among her clients; this is her first project for Wallpaper*.
