Footwear has gone brogue
Designers are stepping up to the mark for autumn with boots that boast all the details of classic brogues. italian footwear brands Giuseppe Zanotti, Church’s and santoni have all souped up their styles with perforated wingtip finishes, while Fratelli rossetti’s design, imagined in contrasting suede and leather, hovers somewhere between a Chelsea boot and a brogue. the rich shade of its leather upper is created using a process where colour is removed and reapplied. as an antidote to the formal wingtip, buckle and fringed details of santoni’s style, its neck has been crafted to emulate the softness of a sock, while the zip-up detail of Giuseppe Zanotti’s boot lends it a biker-style aspect.
