Teams of devoted volunteers have restored this attractive heritage railway line, which runs on a combination of diesel and steam – some of the locomotives date back to the 1930s. Sit back and enjoy a pot of tea as your 50-minute round journey passes Whiteleaf Cross, a white cross of mysterious origins etched into the hillside.
