MADAGASCAR
Why Madagascar? After the lockdown, people will be looking for travel experiences that break the humdrum. Madagascar delivers, whether it’s rainforest hikes in search of endemic wildlife, getting off the grid on an Indian Ocean beach, or discovering the diverse Malagasy culture.
Best time to go? The travel season runs April to December. September and October offer warm, dry weather, along with baby lemurs and migrating humpback whales. April and May are also pleasant and you’ll beat the summer crowds.
Top tip? Don’t try to squeeze too much in – Madagascar’s the world’s fourth largest island and covering too much will mean you spend a lot of time and money on travel rather than getting under the country’s skin.
