June Close juneclose@ymail.com Judging of Galaday decorated premises both household and commercial will take place tomorrow (Friday) from 7 pm onwards and will be judged by members from Shotts gala day committee. Gala Day Timetable is as follows. Judging of all fancy dress participan­ts will take place at the Partnershi­p Centre at 11am followed by decorated vehicles at the village triangle at approx 11.30am. Children can have their face painted free of charge at the centre from 11am -2pm. The crowning ceremony undertaken by Mrs Joan Naysmith (Headteache­r Fallahill Primary) will also take place at the Partnershi­p Centre at noon and thereafter the street procession will begin. Following the street proces- sion all sports and entertainm­ent will be held at Fauldhouse United Football Park at Park View. Tea, coffee and gala bags will also be on sale.

Gal Day Boxes

will be on sale from the FCDT HUB from 10am on gala morning until noon and then from 1-4.30 pm at Fauldhouse United F.C. at Park View.

Amateur Boxing Class

for P3-7 every Friday at Park View (home of Fauldhouse United F.C.). Cost £1 and new members welcome.

First year Junior Membership at Greenburn Golf Club

for young people under 14 years of age is £35. Why not join and come along for coaching every Friday afternoon and every alternativ­e Sunday. New members always welcome.

The Gala Day Fundraisin­g

Disco raised almost £400 towards this years festival. The gala committee take this opportunit­y to thank Margaret Riley and all her volunteer helpers for organising the night and also the Miners Welfare for the free use of their premises. A special thanks also to Dave Stephenson and Laura Fairley for paying the disco hire charge on the night. The combined efforts of all involved are much appreciate­d.

Charity Fundraiser

with all proceeds going to The Little Princess Trust will be held in Greenburn Golf Club on Sat 18 June at 7.30pm . Disco, Cabaret, Games & Prize Bingo. Tickets £5 and all welcome.
