Cancer support need counsellor
West Lothian travellers are advised to expect disruption due to essential resurfacing work on the Boghall roundabout outside of Bathgate.
significant disruption is expected for the first stage of work, which starts on thursday 30 June and lasts for two weeks.
Lane closures only will be required for the first four days of the work, with phased road closures from Monday, July 4, until thursday, July 14, to allow the exit and approach roads to be safely resurfaced.
the second stage will take place from Monday, august 8, for a further two weeks to complete the works.
a West Lothian Council spokesperson said: “travellers who use the Cancer support scotland are looking to recruit a volunteer counsellor to be based in new Macmillan@Bathgate Library Drop-In service in Bathgate partnership Centre.
the charity needs a qualified accredited counsellor, someone working towards their accreditation or a student counsellor who has a minimum of 100 face-to-face counselling client hours.
appointments will be on a Monday from 10am to 1pm to coincide with the Macmillan drop-in service.
the counselling will take place in a private room in the library and the charity will reimburse all public travel expenses and pay for 1.5 hours of external supervision, however you must have your own insurance. Cancer support scotland offer free conselling, complementary therapy and support to anyone affected by cancer including family members and carers.
