Celtic, Dunfermline Athletic. Was part of the Dunfermline side that cantered to the League One title last season. Played 114 times for the Pars, scoring a dozen.

Livingston new boy Nicky Cadden says he expects the Lions to roar to title success this season.

The winger was one of four players to switch Airdrieonians for Livi over the summer and says his focus is on winning the League One title in his debut season at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Speaking to Courier Sport, the 19-year-old, who played 26 times for the Diamonds last season, commented: “It’s great to be at Livingston and be fulltime. I met all the boys last week when we started pre-season and they’re a great bunch. It’s just good to get back into the swing of things again.

“The training has been hard, but that’s what you’d expect, particularly at the start of pre-season. We did a lot of high intensity stuff in the first few days and now we’re doing plenty of running.

“There’s not been a lot of ball work really, but again that’s all just part of what you’d expect at the start of the new season. It’s tough, but I can’t complain.”

He added: “I kind of knew I’d be signing at Livingston, but with Airdrie going full-time I wasn’t 100 per cent sure what would be happening with them, but I’m delighted to be here.

“To have the other guys signing from Airdrie has really helped me bed in as I knew a few of the guys when I came in on the first day.”

As for his expectations ahead of the new campaign, the youngster is adamant that the Lions will be challenging for the title and a quick return to the second tier.

He said: “I’ve played in League One for a wee while now and I know what it’s all about and what clubs need to do to be a success in this league.

“I think we’ve got a very good chance of winning this league based on what I’ve seen from the guys and the ability I know this team has.

“That’s certainly our goal and I’m sure that’s what everyone will be working hard to achieve come the end of the season.”
