Stoneyburn & Bents Children’s Galaday This years children’s gala day will be on Saturday the 6th of August. This year’s gala day theme is Disney. Feel free to Contact Alan Watson on 0772598978­2 or emailalanw­atson81@hotmail.co.uk with any galaday enquiries Stoneyburn Centre News Walking Group: Meets Tuesday from 10am for a leisurely walk round the village. We also travel to other areas and come back for a cup of tea afterwards. Anyone is welcome. Cost is £1. Dance Class: The dance class is on a Friday afternoon from 1.30– 4.30 Card making class: The card making class is on a Monday from 7–9pm. New members welcome. Parent and toddlers: There is a parent and toddler group on a Tuesday from 9.30am – 11.30am and a Wednesday from 9.30am – 11.30am, everyone is welcome. Contact the health visitor for further details. Credit Union. There is a rep from the Credit Union in every Thursday from 11.30am – 12.30pm if you would like to join or get further informatio­n. Short tennis and Table Tennis Club. Every Wednesday from 7 – 9pm. This is a new fun club for anyone that wants to try their hand at it and keep fit at the same time. Aged older the better. Access to employment: There will be an advisor to assist with job applicatio­ns and CV’s available on a Thursday from 9.00 – noon. This is a drop in facility and no appointmen­t is needed. The lunch club; is on every Tuesday and Thursday from 11.30am – 1.30pm. If you or someone you know would like to attend contact Doreen Meiklem at the health centre or Joe Smith on 0774776757­0 Fitness Group: The fitness group runs on a Friday from 10.15 to 11.15. This is for people who have had operations or illness and is done through Doctor referrals. It is run by xcite Ipad and tablet course. CLD are running a tablet and Ipad course on a Wednesday from 7 – 9pm for 4 weeks from the 2nd March. You can either bring your own tablet or use one of the ones supplied. This is ideal for beginners as well as seasoned users. Panto: We are taking names for this year’s panto at the King’s theatre on Christmas Eve. Names with a £5 deposit to the centre office.
