Exciting start to season
The fixtures for the opening weeks of the Junior football season include a number of mouth-watering West Lothian derby matches.
While none of the 11 local sides face each other on the opening day (August 6), Broxburn Athletic host Fauldhouse United and Whitburn travel to Armadale Thistle on Wednesday, August 10.
That’s followed on August 17 by Linlithgow hosting Broxburn and Whitburn at home to Bathgate Thistle.
The first derby clashes arrive on August 20 in the South Division, which includes five West Lothian sides, as Livingston United host Stoneyburn while West Calder United are paid a visit by Pumpherston.
The draw for the East of Scotland Cup First Round threw up some fascinating ties.
Bathgate Thistle were pitted against Superleague side Kelty Hearts while Livingston United will be hoping to cause an upset in a home tie against Penicuik Athletic.
But the pick of the ties, to be played on September 3, is the clash at New Murrayfield Park when Blackburn United will host Armadale Thistle.
Opening day fixtures (August 6): Superleague - Fauldhouse United v Lochee United, Hill of Beath Hawthorn v Broxburn Athletic, Linlithgow Rose v Broughty Athletic.
Premier League - Bathgate Thistle v Sauchie, Downfield v Armadale Thistle, Whitburn v Dundee Violet.
South Division - Craigroyston v West Calder United, Crossgates Primrose v Blackburn United, Dunbar United v Stoneyburn, Easthouses Lily MW v Pumpherston, Livingston United v Lochgelly Albert.
