Broxburn’s Xcite to be refurbishe­d

The swimming pool changing facilities at Xcite Broxburn are set to be transforme­d along with the facility’s soft play area.

The developmen­t will see a totally new changing village layout, including new décor, cubicles and access to the pools, sauna and steam room.

During the refurb the SpaceBugs soft play area will also be refreshed with new kit, décor and upgrades to the internal structure.

The works have been scheduled to follow the end of the busy school holiday period with the building closing from Monday, August 22, re-opening on Monday, September 5.

Chief executive of Xcite, Robin Strang said:“This is a large programme of improvemen­t works and customers will see a big difference once the works are completed.

“We are committed to continuall­y improving our facilities to enhance our customers’ experience.

“I’d like to thank customers for their patience in advance of the works beginning and throughout the closure.”

Executive councillor for culture and leisure, Dave King added:“These are important improvemen­ts which will benefit local customers.

“The facilities are already very good and these works will enhance the Broxburn facility further.”

In the meantime, customers can use all other Xcite Pools in West Lothian which includes Armadale, Bathgate, Linlithgow, Livingston and Whitburn.
