Yvonne Green 01506 440881 yg@greentowler.fsnet.co.uk Livingston Cricket Club’s Annual Gala Day takes place on Saturday 3rd September and the fun starts at noon at the Cricket Ground. There is plenty going on this year with fun games such as “Beat the Bowler”, “Splat the Rat”, “Hook a Duck”, “The Stocks”, “Beat the Goalie” and “Nearest the Pin, Golf game”. Tickets for these games are 5 plays for £2 or 15 plays for £5. The ever popular Dog show hosted by Murieston Environmental Group is another feature as will be demonstrations of Hockey and Basketball. There will also be plenty of stalls in place including children’s crafting courtesy of the Tea Pot Trust, teas and cakes, Tombola, BBQ, slushes, icecream, Rotary Club, sweets stall, homemade produce and toiletries. Bouncy castles and a bouncy slide will also be available at a small extra cost. From 5pm we will move indoors for Pub games and from 7pm we will have live music on offer. The Kingfisher bar will be open across the day. Support from members for this important fund raiser for the club is sought to provide help on the day manning the various events and in providing prizes for the Tombola. Please see the club’s Facebook page for more details. Bellsquarry Community Council Meetings are held in Bellsquarry Village hall on the first Monday of every second month starting at 7.30pm. Murieston Community Council meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7pm in Williamston Primary School. All interested parties welcome.
