Songwriting star performs at centre
Songwriting legend Albert Hammond is set to bring his Songbook Tour to West Lothian next month.
One of the world’s greatest songwriters, Albert Hammond has accumulated no less than 360 million records sold worldwide.
Hear the songs, the stories behind them and the artists Albert has worked with; Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Neil Diamond, Julio Iglesias, Willie Nelson, Tina Turner and many more.
Celebrate and discover his hit songs, which include the Olympic anthem ‘One Moment in Time’(Whitney Houston),‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now’(Starship),‘When I Need You’(Leo Sayer),‘The Air that I Breathe’(The Hollies),‘Don’t Turn Around’(Ace of Base, Aswad).
In recognition of his amazing body of work, 2015 Albert Hammond received the iconic Ivor Novello Award in 2015 for his Outstanding Song Collection.
The performance is set to be a stunning journey through five decades of music and over 40 top 10 hits.
Albert will be joined by his four piece band that includes West Lothian guitarist/vocalist Calais Brown.
The support act for the concert will be The Genes.
The show will take place at Howden Park Centre in Livingston on Thursday, September 8, at 7.30pm.
