Monarchs have it all to do

-

The Edinburgh Border Roofing Monarchs have to overturn a massive 24-point deficit in the Knockout Cup quarter-final second leg clash against the Glasgow Tigers at Armadale Stadium on Friday (7.30pm).

The Monarchs had a night to forget in the first leg at Ashfield and will be heavy underdogs to book a spot in the semi-finals.

The hosts will be hoping that American ace Ryan Fisher is able to go after sustaining a broken foot at Somerset last week. He is currently listed in the team line-ups and will be a key figure for Edinburgh if he can make it.

Another important rider for the Monarchs will be number seven Dan Bewley.

The 17- year- old endured a poor start to his career with the club but has shown incredible form of late, both with the Monarchs and guesting for other clubs, and certainly has a very bright future in the sport.

While the Armadale-based side will be desperate to beat their bitter rivals on Friday, they will also be hopeful that they can beat the weather, which has had a huge impact on Friday night racing this season.

The last thing the club will want is a crucial derby clash having to be rearranged.

The team line-ups for Friday are as follows:

Edinburgh Border Roofing Monarchs: Sam Masters, Mark Riss, Erik Riss, Ryan Fisher, Kevin Wolbert, Max Clegg, Dan Bewley.

Glasgow Tigers: Aaron Summers, Fernando Garcia, Richie Worrall, Rene Bach, Richard Lawson, Nike Lunna, Danny Ayres.
