Get ready for roadworks and plan your journeys
West Lothian Council is advising drivers of essential road works which are planned over the coming months.
Until tomorrow ( Friday, September 16) essential bridge repair works are underway at West Foulshiels bridge on Hens Nest Road, in Whitburn, which will be closed from its junction with the U22 School Road to West Foulshiels Court.
This is to allow for the construction of a supporting wall.
A diversion will be in place during the roadworks.
From Monday, September 19, to Monday, October 3, work will take place on the C7 Armadale (Mill Road) from junction with Drove Road to junction with C14 (Woodend) Armadale, in order to allow carriageway repairs to take place.
A sign-posted diversion will be in operation.
Pedestrians are not affected during this project.
Work will also be underway from Monday, October 3, to Friday, October 16,the U8 Rural Westfield, from the junction with the B8028 to Strathmill.
It is not expected that the work will take 12 days to complete, however, the process is weatherdependant.
The closure will be during working hours only.
A diversion will be in place while work is underway, pedestrians are not affected.
From Monday, October 17, to Sunday, November 6, work will take place on the C19 Linlithgow from Junction with Riccarton Drive to the junction with the U14, to allow essential carriageway repairs to take place.
A sign-posted diversion will be in place, pedestrians are not affected.
On Saturday, January 21, and Sunday, January 22, the B9080 Winchburgh will be closed between Tippet Knowes Road and Millgate to allow for the installation of a new traffic island. A sign-posted diversion will be in place.
And from Monday, January 30, to Sunday, April 7, the B792 from the B7015 to Livingston Street, Addiewell (junction to junction) will be closed, to allow work to take place to repair the Cuthill Bridge.
A sign-posted diversion will be in place, pedestrians are not affected.
