New council housing for Fauldhouse

Work is currently underway to develop new council homes in Fauldhouse.

a mixture of 40 new cottage flats, bungalows and two, three, four and five bedroom houses are being built at Eastfield, Fauldhouse. Lovell partnershi­ps began building on behalf of West Lothian Council earlier this year and the homes are expected to be complete in 2017.

West Lothian Council is investing approximat­ely £100 million to build 1000 new council homes which will provide affordable housing for tenants.

the new housing at Eastfield intends to deliver much-needed affordable homes for West Lothian residents.

george paul, executive councillor for services for the community said: “We are delighted to announce that the work on the new council homes in Fauldhouse is now underway.”

“affordable housing is in high demand throughout scotland and West Lothian is no different in that respect. I look forward to seeing the new homes completed and local residents moving in next year.”

Depute council leader, Cathy Muldoon added:“Our 1000 new council homes project is enormous and is fully focused on providing affordable homes for people in West Lothian and to meet the needs of our local communitie­s.”
