Say ‘Allo ‘Allo to a laugh-a-minute show

-

Now listen very carefully, I shall say this only once.

The Livingston Players are reproducing the iconic 80s TV Show ‘Allo ‘Allo later this month.

The award winning amateur dramatics group are performing the play based on the popular TV show at Howden Park Centre from September 29 to October 1.

The show is set in Café Rene in occupied France during the Second World War and features the characters from the iconic sitcom.

These include Edith, who sings out of tune, Crabtree the British spy with the terrible French accent, Rene and his café girls, Herr Flick and Helga to name but a few.

The cast has been rehearsing since June and are now ready and looking forward to bringing the play to the stage for the West Lothian public to enjoy.

Players president and director of the play, Lynne Hurst, can’t wait to get in front of a live audience and says she hopes they will have as much fun watching the show as the cast have had rehearsing it.

She said: “The cast have worked very hard on fine tuning their accents and characters for the play and have had much fun and laughter with all of the double entendres.

“We hope that the people of Livingston will enjoy and laugh with the production as much as we have.”

Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office at Howden Park on 01506 777666 and cost £13 and £11 concession (Thursday only).
