Feel good factor is back at Livi

-

Isn’t it great being a Livingston fan again?

After the struggles of relegation dogfights over the last two seasons, finally the long suffering fans have a team to be proud of and a club that are genuinely trying to return to the roots of the community.

The feel good factor around the ground is something that has been missing for a long time but finally the fans are coming around.

Saturday afternoons are fun and exciting again. Yes, there’s plenty of work still to be done in terms of attendances, which are still nowhere near were we would all like them to be, but it is finally going in the right direction.

There were many more kids coming along with their parents and grandparents this week than I have seen in a while and that can only be positive for the future fan base of Livingston Football Club.

For the second week running, we took on a side unbeaten in the league and sitting top of the table.

Brechin City were the team to come up against Hoppy’s young cubs at the Lion’s Den - or The Tony Macaroni Arena as it’s known these days.

There was just the one change with Shaun Byrne replacing Jordan Sinclair and it’s amazing that we have so many options to look to without having any detriment to the team and the performances.

It was a tough game, but we dug in and got the victory we deserved, thanks to a goal from Danny Mullen and another worldy, this time from Scott Pittman.

We are certainly being treated to some spectacular goals this season and already the goal of the season award will be tough to choose.

Next up is a trip to Methill to take on newly promoted East Fife.

As we always do, let’s head over the bridge to sunny Fife in good numbers and back our team to another three points in our quest for League One title glory.
