The Church Coffee Mornings are about to resume after the summer break. The first will be on September 22nd at 10a.m. In the Church this is so that it will not conflict with the MacMillan Coffee Morning the following week. From October the coffee mornings will be the last Thursday of each month in the Church from 10 a.m Coming soon to the Library Craft sessions and story time for 3 years and upwards Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning will take place in the Craiginn Centre on Friday September 30th from 9-30 a.m. Donations will be greatly appreciate­d for the various sales tables. Feel free to contact Sadie about this event. Fellowship The next meeting of the Church Fellowship Group will be held in the Church on Tuesday October 4th when Lynn McEwen will be the guest speaker. The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. hristmas leaflets are available from the Church and the appeal will be officially launched at the beginning of October. Monday Club Beryl Brodie was the guest at last weeks meeting of the Monday Club when she demonstrat­ed some floral art. Making it all look very easy the end results were something else. Three lovely displays were produced and these were later delivered to some older members no longer able to attend the meetings. \Bathgate Macmillan Cancer Support coffee mnorning at Royal British Legion on Saturday, October 1 from 12pm to 3pm. Tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes plus raffle. Entry £2.50. Bathgate EU United reformed church will perform their 16th autumn show on September 28, 29 and 30th in the church hall. Doors will open at 7pm, tickets are £5 and available now or pay on the door. Bennie Museum is currently presenting a Museum of Childhood exhibition. This exhibition shows aspects of the life of Bathgate children in years gone by with vintage toys, books and games. The Museum of Childhood is open Tuesdays and Saturdays or by appointmen­t. The museum is open Monday to Saturday 11am to 3.30pm. Admission is free. SImpson Art Group at Westeinch now taking new members. Meets 7pm to 9pm in Simpson PS. Macmillan@ Bath gate Partnershi­p Centre Cancer Informatio­n and Support Service was launched recently and aims to give anyone affected by cancer access to informatio­n and support. You may have cancer yourself, be a relative, friend or carer of someone with cancer, or maybe you just want to find out more about cancer. Volunteers provide a free and confidenti­al drop-in support service, help to access benefits and financial advice, access to counsellin­g provided by Cancer Support Scotland, links to other relevant organisati­ons and leaflets and books on cancer topics. The service can be found in Bathgate Library, Bathgate Partnershi­p Centre and every Monday, 10am to 1pm, and Thursday, 6pm to 8pm. Boys’ Brigade the 3rd/4th Bathgate Boys’ Brigade Company will enrol at St John’s Parish Church Hall in Mid Street on Monday, August 29 between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. A very warm welcome is extended to boys to come and enjoy the fun. Activity nights begin on Monday, September 5, Anchor Boys from 6.15pm to 7.30pm, Junior Section boys from 6.15pm to 8pm.

2nd Bathgate Girls’ Brigade enrolment for the new session will take place on Wednesday, September 7 anytime between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. During that time girls can stay and play games. Company nights start the following Wednesday (September 14) at the following times: Explorers (p1 to 3) 6.15pm to 7.30pm, Juniors (p4 to 7) 7pm to 8.30pm, Brigaders (S1 to 6) 7pm to 8.30pm.
