Community Rooms available to Let Does your group or club need a new meeting space? Perhaps your group is too big now for the room you meet in, or your club wants to change which night to meet but your present space doesn’t have any other availabili­ty. Maybe you are thinking of starting a new interest group, craft or other activity and wondering where you could meet? We are Livingston Village Community Education Centre Associatio­n And we have 4 rooms (1 Sports Hall, 1 large with Kitchen facilities, 1 medium and 1 small suitable for meetings) which are available for hire as long lets. As a community facility we are particular­ly interested in hearing from groups providing activities that would be of interest to our local community and that they would be invited to join. Any group fitting this criteria would benefit from a very favourable annual rate that reflects its benefit to our local community. Ability Centre Chess Club In addition to the club members meeting every Tuesday, 1:00-3:00pm, they offer chess training from 9:00am-4:00pm 5 days a week on the latest computer software. Book your session by contacting Jorden Smith 01506 774066.

Memory Café Newyearfie­ld meets first Thursday of the month, 2.15 - 3.30pm at Newyearfie­ld Farm Community Centre, Hawk Brae, Livingston North EH54 6AB. This friendly café welcomes people with dementia and their carers where they can meet others in a similar situation for support and social contact whilst enjoying refreshmen­ts, friendly company and various activities. Carers on their own are also welcome, as are people with dementia who are able to make their own way there. The café next meets on Thursday 1st December 2016. Livingston Cricket Club Runs indoor practices for 6-9 year olds 5 to 6pm on a Wednesday and practices for 10-14 year olds 6-7pm on a Wednesday. Practices are held at Deans High School Livingston. SMART Recovery Meetings SMART stands for Self Management and Recovery Training and aims to help individual­s gain control over their addictive behaviours through peer led mutual aid meetings. If you are trying to abstain from an addictive behaviour come along and join us at St. Johns Hospital (psychology dept.) on a Thursday evening from 6.15pm to 8.00pm. You will be met with a warm welcome, tea or coffee and the opportunit­y to discuss and learn from issues for a healthy recovery. We meet on Wednesdays from 6.30 to 7.30pm in Toronto Primary School and offer a wide range of fun games, crafts, outings, friendship, badges, awards and a chance to learn and try new things. Eliburn Parent and Toddler Group meets every Wednesday (term time) 1.30 – 2.30pm at the Free Church of Scotland, Jackson Place, Eliburn. All babies, pre-school children and parents/carers welcome.
