The Forget-Me-Not Café meets on on the last Thursday of the month from 10am–noon in East Calder Parish Church Hall, Main Street. The next meeting will be Thursday February 23. This friendly café provides a safe and welcoming space for people with dementia and their carers and also anyone who enjoys reminiscin­g and sharing memories of ‘days gone by’. Do come and enjoy some refreshmen­ts, support, fun activities and friendly company. Carers on their own are also welcome, as are people with dementia who are able to make their own way there. The Lunch Club is open on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 11.30am till about 12.15. in East Calder Church Hall. Cost is still £2 for Soup, roll, sweet, biscuits and cheese, tea and coffee. All will be made welcome. East calder Bowling Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday March 5 at 11am. Bingo is held every Wednesday and Sunday at 8pm. The Boys’ Brigade meets in East Calder Church Hall on Friday evenings. Boys from 5 - 18 years welcome. OffbeatYou­th Drop in Arts and Media based drop - in for young people aged between 12- 9 years in and around the Craigshill area providing activities such as cooking skills, music tuition, sports, graffiti, theatrical make up, art as well as hosting workshops on healthy relationsh­ips, healthy eating, lgbt and sexual health. Craigshill’s Drop - In meets in the community wing in Riverside. The club offers various activities for young people from the age of 12 to 21 years providing pool, music, Xbox as well as advice and support. Volunteer Drivers are needed to assist older people in the Livingston area to attend local groups in West Lothian. The Cyrenians Befriendin­g Service help alleviate loneliness and isolation in older people. Befriendin­g is delivered by volunteers and we urgently need volunteer drivers who can spare a few hours a month. Mileage costs are reimbursed at 45p per mile. If you would like to
