Design an Easter Bonnet or Hat and bring it along on the day. Everyone bringing a decorated bonnet or hat will receive a chocolate egg and there will be prizes for the best. ( Judging will take place at approx 11.30am.) You will also have the chance to decorate your own egg. There will be lots of home baking and sweets on sale as well as crafts, cards, gifts, books and freshly made pancakes. Enjoy a coffee or tea with hot filled rolls in the downstairs hall & hot pancakes upstairs. Come along and join us for a fun filled morning. We look forward to seeing you there! Admission free. The Forget-Me-Not Café meets on on the last Thursday of the month from 10am–noon in East Calder Parish Church Hall, Main Street. The next meeting will be Thursday March 30. This friendly café provides a safe and welcoming space for people with dementia and their carers and also anyone who enjoys reminiscin­g and sharing memories of ‘days gone by’. Do come and enjoy some refreshmen­ts, support, fun activities and friendly company. The Lunch Club is open on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 11.30am till about 12.15 in East Calder Church Hall. Cost is still £2 for Soup, roll, sweet, biscuits and cheese, tea and coffee. All will be made welcome. The Boys’ Brigade meets in East Calder Church Hall on Friday evenings. Walking Group sets off from East Calder Library at 10am on Mondays and from the cafe area of Xcite Livingston at 1pm on Fridays. The short, safe walks are with a trained leader to show you the way. They are based in East Calder Community Centre and collect children from East Calder and St Paul’s Primary Schools. East Calder Jog Scotland this jogging group meets every Tuesday at 7pm at East Calder health centre car park. We welcome along all abilities, male or female. And we run varying distances.
