Man is held after assault

Police have arrested and a charged a 35-year-old man in connection with a serious assault which took place in Linlithgow at the weekend.

A 33- year- old victim suffered serious injuries to his face which required medical treatment during the assault on Saturday (March 18) at the Crown Arms on the town’s High Street.

Detectives in Livingston CID would like to thank the public for their assistance with the investigation.

The man made a first appearance at Livingston Sheriff Court on Tuesday (March 21).
