Salon’s crowning glory
A West Lothian hairdressing salon has taken home two prizes from a national awards ceremony and has been crowned the best men’s stylist in Scotland.
Mr FELLA & Me Bella Sassoon, based in Uphall and Kirkliston, have been named the Best Men’s Stylist In Scotland for 2016 and the Best Barber Shop South East at the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards.
Cherise Bartram, who owns the salon, was over the moon at scooping the two awards in front of around 600 people.
She said: “We never really expected to win because there was so many people there.
“We didn’t even expect to win one. We’re really really ecstatic.
“We’ve never been to anything like that. We‘re really buzzing, it was just brilliant.”
Cherise thanked her staff for the win saying: “We all have an input.”
Claire Craig, a hairdresser at the salon, said:“It was a great night, I’ve only been here a short time but it’s great to work in a place like this.”
