COLLIE’S PLEA

-

Freddie the four-year-old Border Collie is looking for a special someone who loves and understands the collie breed to offer him a home.

His carers say he is very sweet, loving and loyal, is highly intelligent and is always keen to learn.

He enjoys going out for long walks in quiet areas where he can investigate new places, but is never happier than when he is herding his ball.

Freddie is looking for a quiet adult-only home as he has a tendency to let his natural work ethic takeover and his herding instincts can extend to many bizarre items that he thinks it is his duty to herd - be it a cup of tea, a person or a bike.

A spokesperson for Dogs Trust said:“A typical collie, Freddie has tremendous stamina and ability to focus, so he needs an owner who can keep his mind busy with alternative tasks and this in turn will allow him to express himself as the truly working collie boy he is. Freddie could live with another dog and he is house-trained, happy home alone for a few hours and he travels well in the car.

Could you be this collie’s shepherd? A dedicated lad, he will return to you in abundance all his love, affection and friendship.

“If you think you can offer Freddie or any of the other 50 dogs a home, please contact us on 01506 873459.”
