Livi ease to win
Livingston Rugby Club have teamed up with Liberton as part of the National Development League for women’s rugby.
And they put on a terrific display in their first home game, defeating Wigtownshire 56-0.
Lee Anne Steel, club president and women’s team player, hailed the victory and performance, saying: “This is our first season and to be playing competitive 15-a-side rugby is outstanding.
“We have some great talent and I’m really impressed with how we are playing. We’ve bonded well as a team and loving training and playing.”
The ladies train on a Monday night and any new player would be welcome. They are also holding a taster session at 12pm on April 1 before the club’s ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ event.
